Hey, all,

I'm in Tucson, AZ for the week and I'd love to hook up with a local group and get a game in. Is there an XX community here? If so, please get in touch. I'd love to meet you all and play some trains!

Hi Adrian,

Not sure about the XX group; Sean T might know. And he' checks in regularly.
Also, if you contact the two FLGS (Isle of Games - east side of town on Tucson Games and Gadgets - mid-town and northwest side) their staffs might know who plays those. All locations have demo libraries, if you're open to alternatives.

Val

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'll totally follow up on those leads, though I am unapologetically only interested in 18xx so it may or may not work out for me. :-)

I see you like Power Grid ...

I'll take it along Thursday night to TGG's Broadway location (N/S cross streets are Country Club and Tucson Blvd.). The shopping plaza is set back from street with parking in front.
A group meets at 6pm. Feel welcome to drop in.

That is incredibly kind of you (and I do enjoy power grid) but I'm in Oro Valley so unless it's 18xx I don't think I could justify the to and from. Geez, I'm starting to understand why us train guys have such a snobby reputation and I embarrassed. Please just take my relentless position as evidence of just how unbelievablely great this game system is and not just me being a unreasonably picky guy. :-)

I laughed out loud. No apology necessary.
Oro Valley is a drive. And monsoon rains just started today.

Good luck!
