Caylus

I really like Lords of Waterdeep and worker placement is a mechanism I really appreciate. For me, Caylus, takes this to a whole new level, very deep, very mean, very much open information with very low to little elements of chance.

Playing LoW or Caylus, for me, depends on who I'm gaming with, if I had a choice it'd be LoW more than Caylus.

Do you like playing Caylus? If you haven't already played it would you be willing to try it?

I've played it and I totally dislike it. LoW is more enjoyable and colorful.

I love Caylus! My friends are too nice though, so I'm often the mean one moving the Provost

I used to like Caylus. Once I found LoW, that pretty much killed Caylus for me.

I like both. Worker placement is my favorite mechanic. So I also like Egizia ("boat placement"), Stone Age, Ars Alchemia...

The only reason I like LoW better than Caylus is because it's just easier to play, not to mention easier to get to the table, and Caylus requires me to be in the mood. But for me, that can be said of most games when one is more complex than the other.
