My wife and I have been enjoying Mijntrree--it is a real chess match.

My wife made some canvas squares (with a sewed edge to prevent further ravelling) and a muslin bag. I made some iron-on transfers for them. Here's the bag:



It holds the 16 original tiles, the 20 expansion tiles, and 4 two-sided canvas boards:



I roll up the boards with a rubber band:



One side of the boards is for Mijnlieff, the other side is for Mijntrree:



Here's the Mijnlieff boards in use. I used squares for the spaces so the orientation of the tiles (critical to the game) is correct regardless of the players' positions relative to the board:

And like the original, the boards can be rearranged. In fact, Mijntrree allows far more permutations than Mijnlieff.



Now I have the only Mijntrree set in the world.
