I'm interested in buying this game for playing solo (just missed one on ebay with Mercury expansion for $46). I have three quick questions:

1. How long does a solo game take (approximately)?

2. What is the footprint of a solo game?

3. Is the solo game replayable, challenging, and fun?

Thanks
RC

You just missed one on ebay for $46 ?

From the website..

221.0223 Leaving Earth + Mercury $44.95

1 About 90-120 mins. Varies.
2 I play on a 3x4 tables. Fills it nicely.
3 Yes. but i added Outer Planets for even more variety.

If the $46 included shipping, it's not a bad deal.

I concur with the rest. I haven't cracked open the expansion yet, but my solo plays of the base game average about 80-90 minutes, and I typically play on a ~40" square table.

Edit: The eBay listing had ~$10 shipping. Better to just buy it new from Lumenaris at that point.

Check out the video section. There are several playthrough videos, including my own.

In short, expect 1.5 - 2 hours, a large table, and a lot of replayability.
