Subject: Why is the US version removing the modular board? rss

subject says it all. I don't understand why they'd remove a feature, while spending more money (on redoing the art).

To be fair, they also spent more money on miniatures. Everyone knows that cool components trump game play features.

Played this over the weekend and couldn't agree more. So glad I have 1st edition.

There needs to be a geeklist dedicated to differentiate the different editions for games with pictures and blubs.

main game's description was just updated to state: " The board is modular and has eight possible combinations." so maybe it is modular?

From what I remember from talking to them at the CMON Expo, they wanted to make sure the blue high scoring bonus cities are on opposite sides of the board.

Glad I found a copy of the 1st edition as well.

Also something like Dan said doesn't seem like it would be that hard if they were in the same place on the modular boards but with different routes to them.

They are like that on the first edition. The cities and their colors are always on the same spot with the modular board, it's the interconnecting roads between them that change.
