The scenario rules for Fallschirmjager states "The Axis player conducts two airdrops with four figures each. Each drop is done over each of the Battle Stars respectively."

Does this mean two airdrops of four figures over each Star which equals 16 possible units or two airdrops of four figures each one over each star which equals 8 possible units?

We played the second option last night twice which both times due to two figures in each landing in same hex and one figure each time bouncing off the board left the Germans with exactly six units equalling six medals. If this is correct what happens if instead of losing two sticks we lost 3 or 4 this would mean the Partisans could not possibly win because they could only kill 4-5 German units which equates to 4-5 possible medals in total far short of the six medals required to win.

Also the two mountain caves. We played that Tito on his turn entered the caves and reappeared coming out of the second caves hex is this correct?

Are the Germans allowed to detonate explosives on the caves effectively stopping their use also as per the Mountain Caves Japanese rules this as stated only refers to US Allies?
Thanks for any answers.

That answered the Caves question if the Japanese/Partisans enter the mountain caves they appear coming out of any other mountain caves hex on the board on the same turn.
Thanks.

For the airdrop...

You will make 2 drops of 4 soldiers... place 4 soldiers in each landing hex... if two dropped soldiers land in the same hex, you only fill that hex to 4 soldiers. If a dropped soldier lands in an inaccessible hex (ocean, lake, non-transitable river...) the dropped soldier is lost.

However, I see there are 9 separate air drops. The title is not Raid on Drvar either, so perhaps the OP is referencing an earlier incarnation of this scenario by jdrommel.

There's also this one by Van Voort: https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/en/editor/view/?id=102...

https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/140868/commandos-vs-falls...

Thanks for the other two links I will try them also after I get this one figured out should have sent the link first off but I errantly though it came from the days of wonder site. It now appears it did not.

Yeah, don't play a modified scenario based on an original by jdrommel. You can't find a better scenario author than jdrommel, besides maybe R Borg, so I recommend you play the original on the DOW site. In fact, use the DOW to find hundreds of high quality scenarios.

BTW, it looks like this was modified to reduce the drop zones to 2 from 9 and drop four times on each star for a total of 8 possible units. However, you may have a larger chance of the four figures at the drop zones landing on the same spot. Anyway, play the original scenario.
