Aegean Civ now has a WIP page and is component ready.

If you enjoy Roll Through the Ages, Advanced Civilization, or Sharp Shooters! I hope this simple game will scratch that thematic itch.

Cheers!
MH

I am ready to mark Grab the Loot! as Components ready.

I don't expect the components to change too much more, but of course play-testing might change that.

Throwing my hat into the mint tin with The Planners. WIP thread here: https://boardgamegeek.com/article/26808578#26808578

Quote:
Overview
In The Planners each player assumes the role of an urban planner in a sprawling city under continual construction. Each player is competing to take credit for the biggest and most important sections of the city while trying to block each other from doing the same. When the city is finished, will you have the most prestigious blocks, or will you be relegated to designing strip malls?

I'll be joining them just as soon as I'm confident I can squeeze it all into a mint tin -- C'Mon Ref! A fab 2-player soccer game based on a PBM program I designed many many years ago! Can be tweaked to work with Ice Hockey, too! :-D

Just FYI, I was able to fit 72 of the black core cards from printplaygames.com in a time without any issues.

I quickly misread that as CMON Ref, and was wondering why CMON. Would it follow Zombicide rules or something? ;p

I suspect that they'd have to stray a little from 28mm/32mm models to fit around 80 zombies & survivors into a mint tin.

And there's no way they could make a November deadline...heh!

Very excited to enter Tinmates into this year's competition.

We've designed lots of games in the past but this is the first we've created specifically for a competition and the first we've released to external playtesters

I hope you enjoy it, constructive feedback is encouraged!

I think this game shines as a four player game (because of the table talk component). Will a solitaire version be just as engaging?

Experimintal is now component ready. I'm looking for some specific feedback on my entry.

I've included bleed around the cards in my pdf. However, I noticed in my last competition that not everyone does this. What's your preference?

Poll: Component Print/Cut Preferences for 2017 Mint Tin Competition
Cards in a pdf for the 2017 Mint Tin Design Contest should
include bleed around the card so the cut cards look better
have no bleed so I can make a game using fewer cuts

I used 5mm dice to fit all components for a 4 player game into a mint tin. Using the more-common 12mm dice, I can only fit enough components for 3 players. 5mm dice aren't as satisfying to roll. What's your advice?

Poll: Dice Component Preferences
How should I present my official entry for Experimintal?
List 5mm dice as components so I can include a 4th player.
List 12mm dice as components and only specify 2-3 players.

I prefer cards to be butted up so they share cut lines (so less cutting) - and with bleed around the outer (non-shared) edges of the cards. This is how I set up cards in all of my games.

Hello, I have just created a game for your Mint Tin Contest.

Star Trek - The Duel

Galaxy Explorer - The Duel

...renamed to avoid copyright matters

Could you please add it to the Entry List?
Thanks

Hello all. I just created a thread in the WIP section for my submission called "Pocket Zomby." Link to thread: https://boardgamegeek.com/article/26855142#26855142
It is in the idea phase at the moment but should get to the component phase rather quickly.
As I mentioned in the thread, I am in no way, shape, or form artistically inclined, so my components won't be anything more than Word documents with some clip art.
I will have links and pictures posted soon.
Thanks!
EDIT: Rules and cards are linked.
