Please share options for purchasing honest-to-god bottle caps! Cardboard tokens will never give the same tactile experience as upgraded pieces, and the iconic bottle caps from the Fallout series seem like an easy choice to upgrade.

As discussed in this thread, BottleMark sells very cheap bottle caps. They also have a pre-made Nuka Cola design in red, and I have a blue version here:
Note that these bottle caps have flared sides, so if you want a "normal" bottle cap look you would have to cap them. Amazon has cheap capers for as little as $15.

For Aussies -

Really good quality. Spoke to the maker and they're working on one for Nuka Cola Quantum caps.

Also flared sides and are not weathered but can be easily done.

Any idea how many caps of each color are needed to play?

I am thinking 20 of each color will be perfect. If you play with 4, that gives you 5 of each color per player, which is a total of 30 per player (blue=5, red=1). Not everyone will be rolling in it at the same time and you can always use cardboard for spillover when it happens, if at all.

So 20 beers for each cap color for a total of 120 beers? Gotcha.

Just had a look at their other listings and they have got normal and quantum caps.

100 seems like a lot of caps though?

Do you need them in different colors? Are they different denominations?

My bottle caps came in from Bottle mark! They look really good, although the blue is a little too dark to see the details of the wear and "rust" in the design. These have been put on a bottle and taken back off to get the bent, used look. I used a cheap $20 caper I picked up from Amazon.

These look great...how much did you spend (and what graphic files did you use to create yours)?

50 red and 50 blue for a total of $21 including shipping, and then I also had to buy the caper. The red ones are a pre-existing design on the Bottlemark website, and the blue design is at the top post of this thread.

My caps came in! I bought 20 red and 20 blue. A bit pricey, but totally worth is as they are exactly what I wanted: non-flared ("capped") edges, traditional Nuka-Cola logo, a perfect "Fallout" aged finish (unique to EACH cap), and a protective matte coating. Perfect for token use and really, really nice.

Source: GamerCollectibles on Etsy. If you ask rodentwarrior for what you want, there will be a custom order worked out in no time.

Seriously, are these some sweet lookin' tokens or what?

Ok now those caps are pretty good.

May I dare to ask how many of each color and how much did it cost you?

20 Red and 20 Blue - which I figure will cover 4 players.

Advertised cost is $12.50 per 10 caps.

Yes - its a luxury upgrade for sure - but I knew I wanted caps and I knew I had to have them done right.

I have a small game collection with each pretty much pimped out regarding components and storage - so it seems Fallout will be no different for me...

I just received my BottleMark caps, and they are outstanding! I decided to up the ante and add Sunset Sarsaparilla caps worth 10 caps. Figured they might come in handy for making change and consolidating wealth. Haha, I can't believe I'm already modifying a game I don't own!

Pulled a Sunset Sarsaparilla logo off the web and put it on a plain orange cap in the custom caps section of their website. $20 for 90 caps. Just did 10 of the Sunsets. And this is how they look out of the box. Bought a capper but I'm not convinced they need that extra step. They look fairly nice uncapped.

Nice upgrade!

For those that used BottleMark, where did you find the matching red cap image to go with the blue one in top of this thread?

It's one of the standard designs offered by bottle mark. Instead of uploading an image, look at their "Design Library", and the red Nuka Cola cap is one of the ones offered there.

ninja'd: here's the link to the caps. Without / with the "rusted" appearance are #3 and #4 on the list, respectively.
