Hello everyone,

I'm a PhD student really interested in gaming (board gaming in particular) and want to focus my research on this subject. I've been having trouble finding research on board games that isn't either on the historical aspects or the educational ones.
I have lots of literature on game design and have found some interesting stuff on video games, but it is troublesome when I focus my search on board games.

My background is in computer science and data analysis so papers that relate those subjects to board games would be awesome, but anything is a great contribution.

I hope some of you could guide me in the right direction, I'll take all the references you can give me with gratitude.

Thanks in advance!

Artificial Intelligence and Monte Carlo Tree Search: See Wikipedia. Some aspects of Magic: The Gathering and of course Go have AI implemented with MCTS as a large part. I have used it myself for hobby projects, like Zhang Qi.
