Hi Jay
Thank you for that clarification.
But there is still something that is not totally clear, either here or in the rule book.
Is 'the matching die' the die of the card's colour or the die of the triggering faction's colour? So in the example given with the Castle card: is it the red Noble die or the yellow Guild die that dictates whether the card auto-triggers or is discarded?
Thank you!

The dice color is of the card played. In this case red.

Hi Craig,

When a red card is played,it is the red die that determines how many levels of influence on the red track are gained (on a 1 or 2) or whether the card auto-triggers (on a zero) or auto-fails (on a 3).

Thanks,
J

Another question - Does the trigger condition also need to be met in order to use the building ability during step 2 of the turn? Or is the trigger condition only relevant when beginning construction of a building?
