I made these stylistically-inappropriate morale markers a couple of months ago, but I finally got to use them in a game yesterday, so here are some pics!

Emperor Napoleon and Czar Alexander surveying the battlefield of Austerlitz before they deploy their troops:

Another angle. Note Napoleon's slump and Alexander's puffed out chest meeple

When I saw them show up in my subscriptions I immediately passed judgment on them as completely silly and not fitting the theme and tone of the game.

But I clicked for a closer look and just as quickly did a complete and firm 180. These look great! Very stylish and I would argue that they aren't actually stylistically-inappropriate at all, they're a different style, but it works. Great job!

Such a cool style. Reminds me of Joan Walsh Anglund's people.

I'd love to see an entire game base around your artwork, Marina.

Very sweet and well done and yet, as you say, "stylistically-inappropriate" for NT. Whatever works.

If the slump and the puff didn't demand the heads were glued in place you could take them off and use them as dice. Top of the head is a 6, right ear is a 3, left ear is a 4, and so forth. This could start a trend.

(The severed neck is a 1, which is neatly thematic somehow.)
