Time to show off the final print in series 1 of the BoardGameGeek Artist Series! If you have no idea what this about, you can check out the first three previews here:

Geek Store August update, and a cool announcement!
BoardGameGeek Artist Series: Preview #2! Plus, a poll!
BoardGameGeek Artist Series: Preview #3!

I've carried over the poll from the last update as well! I'm 99% sure we'll offer all 4 sizes during the pre-order period at this point, with only the 12x18 prints available post-pre order. But, it never hurts to have more data. As before, please only answer the poll if you have sincere interest in purchasing an art print.

Poll
What size of prints would you purchase?
12x18 - One or more ($30 each)
16x24 - One or more ($45 each)
20x30 - One or more ($60 each)
24x36 - One or more ($80 each)
12x18 - Full set of 4 ($100)
16x24 - Full set of 4 ($160)
20x30 - Full set of 4 ($220)
24x36 - Full set of 4 ($300)

The final illustration was created by Kwanchai Moriya (known for his work on Catacombs, Kodama, Flip Ships, etc), representing Galaxy Trucker:

I've always been a fan of Kwanchai's work, going back to the days when he was just posting fan-created content to BGG. It's been really cool to see his popularity rise, and the work he's been doing in oil lately has been particularly striking to me. I was super excited when he said he was on board!

I also wanted to share some close ups of all four pieces, as I'm not sure the level of detail in these works is apparent from the lo-res images I've been previewing. As good as they look on a computer screen, the actual prints are really great and full of nice detail, even at the smallest 12" x 18" size.

The prints will go up for preorder in our September store update, which looks like it will be on or near Sept. 13th.

If you'd like to ensure you get the Geek Store update when these go up for sale in September, you can sign up for the Geek Store mailing list here. We generally only send out one email per month when new products go up for sale.

I would like to see more of these made. I really like the Blood Rage one and that had me pumped. I might get the Mysterium one as well but the other two are a let down for me.

Edit: Just because of the game selection. The art still looks good.

To each his own.

I like the opposite two you do, for the exact same reasons. I like those games and haven't played the others/dislike the others.

Totally Crushed It. I'd been hoping that Kwanchai was in the list of 4 and I'm a total fanboy but I truly believe he hit the spirit of "1950's travel poster" better than any of the others. Can't wait to pre-order.

I would only want to play 2 of these games, but I'm strongly considering all 4. So impressive, this is a great thing to do for the community.

I love this idea so much but wasn't a fan of the games. I was hoping this last one would be for me and you guys hit it out of the park. I would buy a whole line of Galaxy Trucker posters. Awesome job!

The more I look at these, the more excited I am to hang these up in my living room! I love the old poster feel to them. Even though they have the same guidelines, they all look very different. In the beginning, I was a little skeptical of them having different looks. I reminded myself that different artist created them with their own vision of what an old poster for these games would look like.
I think that every artist did a wonderful job!I am very excited for the coming series too!

Suddenly a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.

Best one yet, LOVE it! I don't play Galaxy Truckers enough, but the Douglas Adams-esque theme has been one of my favorites. Excellent choice for the travel poster style.

This one is a definite buy for me, might pick up Blood Rage as well.

They're easy to reprint, so if they're selling, I can't imagine not keeping them available. I don't want to create artificial scarcity when it's not necessary.

However, the only size we'll keep in stock is the 12" x 18" size. The larger sizes will only be available in the preorder window.

For Agricola, I would put the signature circle on the top, rather than the bottom where the game title is. It competes with the artwork. Maybe for Mysterium as well.

I think if you reined in the price a bit you'd sell more. $80 for a 3' x 2' poster is exorbitant. Similarly sized, beautiful color posters are available at museum shops for $30.

They aren't posters, they are Giclee art prints. The color is going to be richer and more deeply saturated. They won't be cheap or shiny.

All very nice looking but are visually too far left field to convey the substance of each game.
