I recently found out about this and I was possibly interested in giving it a try, being my first foray into this type of "rail game". In reading the rules, I had a minor question:

Is there any functional difference between the Orange (Hills) and Dark Green (Swamp) hexes in this game? I'm sure in other 18xx type games there may be more distinction (as I know this game is more an "intro"-style game), but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything.

Thanks!

Scott

As far as I remember, there isn't. I think it was to match the topography versus any overriding game mechanic. I never noticed.
