It might help if you talked about what problem you're trying to fix, or what your goal is with this variant.

Since this is a deck building game, and hand size is a critical factor in any deck building game, increasing the hand size would probably make the game far too easy. Is that your goal?

It is about playing with different players. Two player is too easy with
six cards. But with 4 or 5 players it is difficult. We think about
trying a 5 player with one more card.

I've read here where players used five cards to make the game more difficult.
They tried four cards but it was too difficult. I'm sorry I can't find the references where I read it.

Personally, if the game is getting too easy for you, start using randomly chosen avatars and buy the queen expansion and add some soldier aliens to the hive...
