I don't understand why this game is 49.99 at retail.
Does that seem a bit high to anyone else?
For that price and few components, I would expect some lavish artwork at least.

The games seems like something to would enjoy playing.
Someone please explain it to me so I can justify the purchase to myself.

I don't remember what I paid, but if my copy got wrecked tomorrow I would gladly play that price for it. However, I don't judge a game's value by its components, but rather by the design and development put into it. Yes, you get more material content per dollar from a kickstarter game, but you'll play it far less as more attention was given to the "it looks nice on my shelf" qualities than the "it's blast to play it on the table" qualities.

So I guess it comes down to why one buys games.

The older editions were cheaper, 29.99 I think. There were two (blue and reddish/purple) boxes that came with totally different boards. This edition contains both boards, so you actually get what I once paid $60 for at a $10 discount...I guess that ten bucks would account for the second set of robots.

$49 is a fair price for this. It's fun with heavy robot components and box you can fit Mutant Meeples in with it

I do think it's funny that you are asking if $49 is too high of a price considering it's OOP and some folks are asking $125 for it on Amazon right now. If you have the chance to grab it at $49, it's a steal at this point. Buy 2 and sell to make your money back. Then the game is -$25 dollars!

edit (Then again I did see another on Amazon for $43 so YMMV)
