The opponent events played by the human player will always trigger for the bot no matter the event instructions?

E.g. US player plays #174 Boston Marathon. There is a GWOT penalty for US. The Event instructions deem the event as unplayable because of that but is it valid only if this card was played by the Jihadist bot or even for those played by the human side?
If it's the latter, the event will not trigger.
If it's the former, then this might not be to the bot's best interest but we should accept it and trigger the event, right?

Please post Event text when asking about an Event. Without context, we cannot answer your question with 100% accuracy.

With what I can tell here, if a player plays a card with the opposing symbol and that event can trigger, then it will.

I will try to clarify the question.

Roll US Posture. +1 Funding. Roll Posture for Caucasus.

The Event Instructions Table contains the following special instruction for this event when played by the Jihadist Bot:

Play if no GWOT Relations Penalty, else treat as Unplayable.

So if the current GWOT penalty is 2. Then, the Jihadist Bot would not play this event during its card play.

But what happens when the US (human) player plays this card for Ops? Does the event trigger? Or do we follow the Event Instruction Table literally and treat the event as unplayable?

Note that triggering the event could potentially have a negative effect for the Bot if the US posture were to switch and thus eliminate the GWOT penalty.

AFAIK, you can ignore the Event Instructions Table for any event played by a human player. It only instructs bots.
