Reading para 1 and 2 of rule 8.5.4.4 raised a question: does the 24 hex range of an Airmobile move start in the hex of the unit being moved, or in the hex of the Airfield/base the helos originate from?

8.5.4.3 in the latest Series rules answers this explicitly. You should be using them.

The wording on this rule looks the same, as far as I can tell. To confirm my understanding, the 24 hexes is from the airbase/field to the unit then to the destination.

Hmm...

The moving player may trace a line of no more than 24 hexes in length from the Airbase/Airfield, to the unit(s) to be moved, and, finally, to the landing hex.
So yes, start at the Airbase/Airfield, trace to the unit(s), and then finally to the landing hex.

What would help make that sentence more explicit in the order?
