I hope this will be compatible with Star Fluxx.

It's the first Fluxx game that's really caught my attention in a long while.

What do you mean by compatible? I mean, Fluxx is Fluxx, regardless of the theme.

Compatibility in this case: Identical card cuts and backs.

I.e. intershufflability

If you could touch the alien sand and hear the cries of strange birds and watch them wheel in another sky, would that satisfy you?

Sleeve it up. Don't you want that copy of Fluxx to last forever?

I'm sure it will be. I don't have insider information, but I'd be extremely surprised if you told me it was different. Within normal tolerances, of course.

The only different ones I know off hand:
- The very first version of Fluxx had different card sizes from all subsequent versions.
- The original Stoner Fluxx had a different image on the back (the current Stoner Fluxx, published under the Fully-Baked Ideas imprint is compatible).
- Drinking Fluxx (also published via Fully-Baked Ideas) has "waterproof" cards that are heavier.
- The postcard promos are noticeably different owing to their manufacturing process.

One other difference: Firefly Fluxx has a trademark notice on the back of every card.

Almost all of my Fluxxes have trademark notices. The only one I could find that didn't was Fluxx 3.0. So they've been there a very long time.

Edit: I'm not trying to say this isn't a difference. It's one I didn't remember, if I ever knew about it. To address the OP's concern: Doctor Who Fluxx is almost certainly going to have a trademark notice, which would make it compatible with (my copy of) Star Fluxx.
