Hey there,
Me and my girl (and group) are looking for area influence games that have pure strategy to them and we've enjoyed so far Game of Thrones:The board game.
But the thing is that all of them really dont like Sci-Fi themes . And the theme here is really import.

Please help me out here ,they are driving me crazy!
Even if the game is not out yet ,please recommend .

Thanks!

(Two ends of the complexity spectrum)

Not exactly area control, but kinda feels like it (and really, why limit yourself to strictly area control?):

Food Chain Magnate and Tikal, which has a 2-player variant.

For an under the radar game that might fit your description, check out The Walled City: Londonderry & Borderlands.

Also, two of my absolute favorites might be a good fit: Mombasa and/or ZhanGuo.

Cyclades is my favorite area-control game.

Maybe take a look at Kemet (temporarily out of print) and Tammany Hall. And if you haven't tried it, El Grande, one of the first area control eurogames, but still I think, one of the best. Also, Tigris & Euphrates which has a strong spatial element, direct player conflict and controlling "areas" on the board.

Bit of a longshot but have you looked at any of the COIN series?
i.e.
Cuba Libre
Fire in the Lake
Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar
Liberty or Death: The American Insurrection

2-4 player, area control-style mechanics, lots of historical theme and strategy.

It doesn't have anything to do with area control, but:
Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization

Not sure about how you're defining deep and pure in this context but I'd suggest Hyperborea.

Doomtown: Reloaded is also worth mentioning as it is a LCG that makes good use of area control, is dripping with theme and is currently running on kickstarter.
