What I mean is: Last time we played (still in the first curse, VG), we found the Stretch Goat!

But we were really hungry and so... our faithful companion went on the barbeque almost right away, and we banished the card with a heavy heart.

Dear Goat, thank you for providing sustenance, and for letting us continue our difficult search for

the Voracious Goddess' eyes.

I also ate the goat, and went on to regret it in at least two different places (but then better to be alive and goatless, than dead).

Dang, I never did the [spoiler in Tom's post] as I avoided that area, I'll have to go there at some point, if only to know what happens.

I found the Stretch Goat both times: once she was my faithful pet until the end, but the second time we had to eat so... goodbye sweet goat, you were very useful as a walking food reserve...

I also encountered the option to

sacrifice her on the VG's altar

but that sounded like a terrible idea. I'm glad I didn't.

Yeah, we already knew that was an option by the time we found the goat, but now that we've eaten it, it's no longer an option anyway.

While I was playing (solo) by daughter walked by and excalimed over how cute the Goat was. I hadn't been inclined to eat him - I was expecting he'd be useful later on - and so I promised I wouldn't eat him.

Now, starving and desperately eating mole rats I am regretting my promise. I fear the goat (Ferdinand) will outlive me.

That goat has given me nightmares and was the cause of my downfall on my second attempt of the Voracious Goddess.

My team found the goat and sacrificed it, just to see what would happen.

As it was the very end of the curse, we never found out the long term consequences, but still had to see the card where it's sacrificed.

You've only eaten it?

You're kind. I did much worse. And paid dearly.

Then I did much better. And felt good.

I think I already ate the goat three times... despite knowing there are other options, I wish I could have tried...

... so... hungry... ... must... eat...

We found the goat at that stage as well, but didn't eat it:
Spoiler (click to reveal)
On our second hunt near the camp. Our goal at the time was to stock up on food, and the 21 cards (with gourmet) was tempting. But my wife was hunting alone, because I was already bloodied, and she choose to keep the goat. It interacts with the rest action at the camp, leading to a different result than normal rest -- see horns banner. 'Nuff said...
