I played a Kickstarter copy of this game and want to pick up a retail copy. I've already bought the metal cogs separately.

My question is, what are the differences in the printed editions now? (I believe there are three.) The copy I played had a box above the bar code saying it was one of the first copies produced. I didn't know if that was only for Kickstarter copies or if one of the early retail editions had that too (or if they have other differences).

Thanks!

Jeremy

Hey Jeremy,

The differences are:

1 - Cardboard cogs are used
2 - Dice are opaque instead of translucent
3 - The Blast Pipes have been replaced by updated versions, and
4 - The rulebook has some updates and changes. (You can see the updated one here:

I think those are the differences between the Kickstarter version and the others. Any differences in the retail printings?

The retail printings *are* the non-Kickstarter version. Same thing.

Right. I read it's been through three printings/editions after the Kickstarter edition and I wondered if those were all the same.

The Blast Pipes have changed, and probably some of the clarifications in the rulebook.

I bought my retail copy and my game is now complete (metal cogs and inventor cards bought separately). I see what I got is the third edition. Any differences between 2nd and 3rd, or is it just a new print run?

Thanks!

Another minor difference is I lowered the power of the Catalytic Reactor and Repair Claws boost cards.

Catalytic Reactor: gain 3 dice per part discarded (not 4)
Grapple Claws: vent dice of values 1-2 (not 1-3)

I'm not certain which edition is the first to reflect these nerfs, but for these I wouldn't recommend stressing about it.

I got some metal cogs off ebay from a seller in China. They were pretty cheap, I think under $10 (incl shipping) for 120 total of two different colors.

You can buy the promo inventors from Roxley's website.

Like Byron said, you can buy the inventors from Roxley.

The exact cogs in the Kickstarter version can be found here (bronze and silver): http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=4&cam...

The Kickstarter game used a different cog (large and flat) as the large denomination. I didn't like them as much so I replaced them with silver cogs.

Will errated cards be available for purchase somehow? (BGG store for example, just as the new inventors)

At the moment the only one judged important enough to reprint was the Blast Pipe. New versions of the game contain updated versions of the other two cards.
