Question to complete a saga chapter I would need to have 5 gold & 3 keywords, or if I am playing 1-2 player game 5 gold & 1 keyword?

Why I ask is that the rules below make it seem that only 2 keywords are used for 3-4 player game not the additional 1-2 player keyword until you get to the Example which describes that you needed to completed all 3 keywords.

So if I am understanding this right then to complete all 4 saga Chapters you will need 20 Gold & 12 keywords.

_____Below are the Game Rule for Saga Chapter Completion. ___

A hero completes their current saga chapter by spending
5 gold and, for each keyword on the saga chapter card,
resolving one of the following options:
Option a:
Discard one rumour which has that keyword.
Option b:
Select an asset (that hasn’t yet been selected during this
Action) which has that keyword. Either keep the asset, or
sacrifice it and gain gold equal to its gold value.

If a keyword is preceded by the 1-2 players icon, then that
keyword need only be resolved if that many heroes started
the game.

Example: for a Chapter card with a keyword “(1-2)
Martial”, you only need to resolve the Martial keyword,
using Option a) or b), if only 1 or 2 heroes started
the game.

Example: you are on Chapter 2 of your saga,
‘Assassinate Lord’ in a 2 hero game. You perform a
Regale Action and spend 5 gold. For the frst keyword,
‘Place’, you discard a rumour from your hand with the
keyword ‘Place’. For the second keyword, ‘Enemy’, you
discard a rumour from your hand with the keyword
‘Enemy’. For the third and fnal keyword, ‘Title’, you
select one of your assets with the keyword ‘Title’, and
elect to keep the asset (but you could have discarded it
for its gold value too). You’ve completed Chapter 2.

Hello Levis

The 1-2 player keyword is additional to the two key words for 3-4 players.

So if you have 1 or 2 players then it's 3 keywords per chapter

I think there's a reference to this in the rule book but I can't currently check owing to being pinned down by a cat

Hi Levis

Simon is correct. The 3rd word is for 1/2 players games and you'll need to have the 3. If it is a 3/4p game, just need the two main.

It seems a little backwards but Tristan said that its mainly to scale the play time of a 3+ player game rather than the difficulty.

It also ensures the availability of keywords for everyone.
That said I'd have nothing against a 3/4 hero team going for all 3 keywords each time, they'd just be in for the long haul.
