>>>>> 2-Player Game: When you play the game with two players, players alternate turns, each using one of their characters. The player can use their characters in either order each turn.

This is the only part that doesnt make sense to me. All the other two-player rules seem to mimic a four-player game, however here, a rule is changed to make it different (easier) for two.

This just prevents both players from effectively taking two turns in a row.

I do not follow - Playing in a fixed alternating order as in a four-player game also prevents this.

I saw it in the English rules, was hoping it was a mistranslation or some such.

Yes, it does. The rules are instructing you to do so.

Has anyone put together a better formatted version of this? Any news on when a PDF or printed version of the new rulebook will be available?

The team is working on the v2 rulebook and expects to have it ready soon. Maybe next week at the earliest, mid October at the latest.

Would be nice if you could color the errata'd parts. Comparing this word to word with the original is a bit timeconsuming (I haven't done so yet).

Thanks for posting this. This clears everything up. Wish this happened before the game was released, but I understand the difficulties of writing/ translating a rulebook.

One other mistake in the original rules is when it talks about empire characters having a black ring around the circle on their picture on the board. I assume this was a carryover from a previous version, but now it is the backs of the tiles that differentiate them. This took me a while to figure out.

In combat, you typically roll as many dice as your character has military power tokens.

I thought if I am being attacked, I rolled the a number of dice equal to the combat power of the empire character (assume no defense value on terrain)?

btw, really glad the rules are being updated. I spent 30 min reading the rules and it's been another 20 min since i started playing (after setup) and I will have NOT finished one round because the rules leave so much questions....

Nope, you're always rolling dice based on your stats, not the enemy.

Looks like I was mostly playing correctly, that's good. Only thing I've been messing up is using the empire character's military power instead of health during princess battles.

Good rewrite though-- I think this clears up most things.
