Subject: What I'd like in an expansion rss

Wéve been having a great time with this game. Sadly, there are a few things which feel like there should have been more of...

I'd love a small expansion to this game that just had new events, new priority missions and more varied enemies (raider truck and base cards). These three would really add to the variability of the game and should still fit in the trays (it would be disappointing if an expansion made the trays obsolete).

If there was a clever plan to keep the trays but also add new locations, that would be good too, but I don't see how that could work.

An expansion sold in a single tray the same size of the box, and maybe 3-4 cardboard sheets thick would be awesome. That would allow us to ditch 3-4 sheets, fit it in the box and be done with it!

Included in that expansion could be more locations with varied outpost actions, new cards across all the card types, and my favorite; a new type of Raider truck that could hold 3 cargo. Once the new Raider truck is pillaged you could use the same method of refilling but then the third cargo could be the lowest valued cargo on the rondell at the time of pillage. I think this would add just enough of a different wrinkle in the game to make it intriguing. Plus, new model trucks is always a bonus!

Speaking of "bonus" I think the idea of the "bonus" action being a singular action is a bit of a waste. I am so tempted to take a sharpie and just continue the arrow down to it and make it just another secondary action.


One thing I am curious about is why the area tiles aren't different on each side. Had these been different on each side, they would have given us that much more variability in set up without requiring new tiles. its not a flaw or anything, just am curious about why that decision was made (or not made).

All in all, we are LOVING this game.

Yes, then please add a variety of locations as well. But, seriously, the first three things were the most important! The first class priority missions and events make the game... it would be great to have more of them. Varied enemies would be good too, but less important.

Instead perhaps +2 move or avoid raiders in a single space... that last one seems more thematic as they peel off to take on the raider truck... or if u choose to fight a raider.. +1 hit...

I just read through the campaign missions and I really like how creative some of later missions get. More varied and interesting missions besides just combinations of first class objectives would be very cool. Maybe even different win conditions.

More events and main mission cards would be a big plus, heck, more of all the cards would be welcome!

There is definitely room for one more tray in the box... what could go in there?

Something i think could be cool, would be that the new tray would be stuff that would relate to new mission cards, kinda like the vision quest, if you play this mission replace these tiles with those tiles, or replace the raider trucks with... etc. So it would essentially be modules that would change the set up of the game.

I like the idea of different types of characters to deal with. Scavengers that steal your resources? Hitch hikers that need a lift somewhere?

Or what about map pieces that have blockades that you need to go around or toll booths that you need to pay to go through.


I thought the biggest let down was grand lord emperor tourque, such an awesome mini to just sit there in one spot. He should be chasing people around or something.

All that being said, this is one of my favorite games. And i am happy that it is one of my wives favs too. Ive played this a bunch already and im sure it will be played many more times. I have my wants for this game but i would be pumped for an expansion no matter what they decide to put in there... almost lol.

I disagree that the escort is broken. It's available to everyone, so there isn't anyone specifically advantaged by it. Now, if you mean that it makes the pick up and deliver aspect of the game redundant, it's a very different argument but I still wouldn't agree with you. Spaces in the truck are limited, they cost money and can't be purchased just anywhere. It's a great idea to pick up a few if you are nearby and have someone to go but it's not like a person can just ignore moving around the board just because they exist.

A game that builds these with movement and acceleration gets that theme seriously broken when u can teleport completely across the board... I get an escort for protection... but not giving me unlimited movement...

There's errata: you can only have one of them. It was a misprint and it should have an * by it to denote that.

Well, if the argument is that they are thematically broken, then we can agree. As a game mechanism, i think it's fine and works for what it tries to do, but it doesn't make much sense!

Random loot on raiders truck/enclave cards. Before battle you draw card,beside a number to beat using dice roll there is other option,ex: taking only 1 loot exchange the other one with money perhaps,or introduce one time use token that could only get from pillaging raider, thematically you scrapping out something from raider trucks that can be used on your vehicle. So basically add variety to raiders cards. And of course more priority contracts to add more campaign story. Non hostile raiders that lurking around the map that would trade for cargo with half of market selling cost.

how about a sandstorm that moves around the map (and maybe it flips over and becomes a radioactive sandstorm if it moves past a rad zone) that interferes with movement?

Oh - I like this idea a lot! Let's add sharks too! ; )
We find it a bit too easy to sidestep the Raiders .... there needs to be more friction out there in the wasteland.

Add double sided spaced and throw away the single sided ones!

A solo mode, co-op mode, and possibly automa type actions for the solo mode.

Raiders moving more often and possibly by their own set of rules.

Maybe even add a few more terrain tiles to either make the wasteland larger to enable more players, or just to have more variety to the layout of the map.

Could possibly even do a team mode, 2v2, or 3v3. Something like that.

And then the obvious stuff, more cards, locations, mods, even another good to transport. New characters and vehicles are always welcome too.

This game is a lot of fun, and the possibilities are many for This one. You guys created an awesome world. I wouldn’t even mind different games in this universe.

I'm not usually big on solo gaming... but I think I'd actually enjoy it quite a bit with this game. Seems like a great platform for it since there's enough randomness to the board, missions and dice rolls along with the action efficiency.

Definitely agree with seeing more missions and varied baddies. I'd really like to see more story beats. Things that might happen in one game and not another that would cause players to adapt their strategies. Maybe the Raiders grow stronger and take over locations on a board that need to be cleared out. Nuclear warhead goes off somewhere on the map.

I'd also in general like to see some options to make combat more interesting. Seems like it gets really easy really quickly, but also too susceptible to bad rolls. I haven't played nearly as much as I'd like to, but my initial impressions usually saw people laughing at every raider encounter, and then maybe someone else was getting inexplicably bad rolls and didn't have a chance to win because of it.

Basically repeating what everyone else already stated:
a) More cards of every type. Especially events and contracts. Maybe add special abilities to the raider truck cards, too. They could prevent certain mods to be used against them, or something. Or make battles two-way (attack rolls and defense rolls). This would allow more upgrade mod types and also more diverse raider truck abilities.
b) More location tiles and a 4th commodity, maybe.
c) Mechanics to increase player interactivity. I know, there are multiple opinions on that, but a bit more direct interaction than just moving raider trucks or the regular PVP would be nice. The player who is about to fulfill his last contract in the endgame can hardly be stopped with only a raider truck in his way (it will be cannon fodder most of the time). Moving hazards like the sandstorm idea, but controllable by the players.
d) Maybe something like action cards, which you can purchase at some of the new locations, and are held secretly. Can be played as bonus action or something. A little bit more suprise (move hazard, teleport, influence combat, damage opponent, etc.) and player interactivity.

Love the game already, let's make it perfect!

Will the expansion be kickstarted? Or is it available at retail instantly? What happened to $crappening btw? Did it happen? What was the experience?

Me and my wife love this game. We just started playing through the campaign. I would love a campaign that would be more of a “legacy” style. Something where you carry over the results of one game into the next, damage mabe, mabe the winner of the game would get some bonus to start the next game. Im not sure how to make it work exactly, but as it is now the campaign feels like we are just playing the game a bunch. Definitely does not feel like a campaign.
