I'm working on painting and replacing the standees from the game. I don't have the game yet, just getting things ready ahead of time.

One question I have is regarding the size of the base of the mini. Does it matter? I have a few existing minis that could replace standees but I'm worried their bases are too big.

Just make sure you have a way to identify their number and if they are elite.

I remixed some stands that were 36mm diameter, into 33mm diameter. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2477756

They do "spill over" the edges of the hex, but you can them sit base-to-base, and they don't push the other stands over into other hexes.

My shared lesson: don't have a round base bigger than 33mm.
