Just something that came up last night, but when the app instructs that a monster attacks an investigator with the least sanity, does it mean starting sanity or sanity remaining? Thank you

Alexander is incorrect.

The app uses the word 'sanity' and that is defined conclusively in the RRG as your stat and it does not change.

RRG - Health & Sanity wrote:
An investigator’s health and sanity are printed on his Investigator card.
-- Health and sanity are fixed values. An investigator’s health and
sanity are not reduced when he suffers Damage or Horror.

If it meant remaining sanity, it would say something like 'remaining sanity', although I can't recall ever having seen that.

That's because the app usually cares for the opposite - someone with the most and/or least horror / damage, for example.

So I guess we did that wrong for about a year or so... :S

Thanks for correcting.

It's an easy mistake to make and I expect you won't be alone in learning the actual method through this thread.
