Hey all,

Currently I find myself in London and I'll be in Italy within the next few days. I am currently on the search for any games that can only be found in Europe at the moment so that I don't come back to the states empty handed. Are there any games that you know are only available in Europe that I should check out?

I'm here on this trip for my 5 year anniversary with my wife, so something that plays well with 2 is a must. Also, my wife and I like Euros such as Last Will, Ticket to Ride, and most recently Fabled Fruit. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also any specific FLGS's that you frequent in Rome, Venice, Cinque Terre, or London would be welcomed as well.

We were already in Oxford and went to Thirsty Meeples game cafe... great place.

Thanks!

Check out Goa. That can still be found in Europe (Germany at least) but is pretty rare in the US. Glen More is also often mentioned in those cases.

This is the list of games that are not currently available in North America -- or at least weren't when they were added to the list, feel free to add a note to each game if it now can be found there. Some of them (particularly the Japanese ones) cannot be found in Europe, either, of course, but it is a mostly-in-Europe-but-not-USA list.

http://www.boardgameguru.co.uk/ is a great UK online board game store, in London. If you write Paul, I am told you can arrange to come pick up games there. I've never done this; he just sends me a lot of games. If you drop by, tell him that Laura Creighton says hi.

Good shop in Rome: http://www.giochix.it/

BBG megalist of where the good stores are, everywhere:
https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/120302/flgs-world-list-game...

check and make sure the place hasn't gone out of business before you vist, as the list isn't guaranteed to be up to date -- and of course make a note of such problems in the list itself for the next person.

Have fun!

Fjords is a nice smallish 2 player game.

If you are going to visit Venice, maybe you could be interested in buying Venetia. If so, then you may be interested in buying it at Lanterna Magica (https://www.facebook.com/Lanterna-Magica-Venezia-12558987748...). ;)

Thanks for the kind words. I am based in London but the games are based in a warehouse in Essex.
