In my German edition there are 12 deeds (3x 4 different models) of each color.
Does it change the game? Because in other games like Kemet or Cyclades the amount of figures are limited on purpose.
So should I cut down to 10 deeds each like in the other language versions and keep the surplus as replacements?

Usually it does not take that many deeds for the game to end.

The limit of three deeds per player (instead of ten for all players) is more interesting variation IMO, but again it usually does not take three deeds to claim victory.

I don't think those are deeds. Don't you mean the clans - the figures?

Hello,

As you say there are 3 x 4 different models of each color, I suppose you talk about the figures, the clans.

So yes, there are 12 clans (figures) for each player.

Is that ok?

Now that's cleared up, to answer your questions...

The clan miniatures appearance is simply cosmetic. There's no gameplay difference between the guys with the spear vs. the axe and so on.

Each player should have access to all 12 clans. No need to reduce that amount.

There are 4 different kinds of figures.
Why haven't they been different for each colour?
Like in Cyclades or Kemet. Or was it made for the possibility of an expansion?

I assume it's mostly out of thematic reasons, to show the clans don't represent just warriors on a map, like in Cyclades and Kemet. In Inis, the clans are made up up of many different professions, rather than just war-oriented ones.

Hopefully they aren't building any differentiation beyond that, the clan molds aren't that different from each other and look pretty much the same from a distance. Imagine trying to parse a clash involving more than a few clans if the clan types get powers.
