Just got this pack and saw that two cards from this set have the same name, yet different text as two other cards from the Heroes Unite base set. Was this an oversight? Are the new cards supposed to be replacements for the older cards? Or does this not have any bearing on gameplay at all?

Not the first time.
[Original] set has a Batmobile, and Rivals also has a Batmobile. Similar but different effects.

There are also 2 different (non Crisis) Starfire's (HU-promo, and Teen Titans).

As far as gameplay goes, nothing should be affected. There might be confusion when referring to either card though.

They are not meant to be replacements and they were intentionally included. No oversight here. Iconic characters, items, and abilities are likely to be seen in multiple sets.

It does have an effect on the game when also playing with Crossover 1 or the Multiverse box. For the purpose of cards that check names (T-Sphere, Hawk and Dove) they have the same name, if those cards come out at the same time.

Hawk and Dove actually check if there are 'copies', not just matching names.
To be considered a copy, 2 cards must have the same Name, Type, and Cost.
Batmobile(original) is a cost 2 Equipment
Batmobile(Rivals) is a cost 3 Equipment
The different Batmobiles would not be considered copies, as their costs are different.

T-Spheres and most of the cards in Crisis only care about Name.

The card clarification in the rules says: Hawk and Dove: same card means same name,

Unless a future update ruling has changed this.
