Could we house rule this and give each player two actions per round? The base instructions make the game feel constricting.

City of Iron is a pretty tight game. Each of your 21 actions is precious. You want to maximize your use of free actions and card draws to get the most out of those. Certainly, you could do what you suggest, but then everything becomes too easy.

Yeah, it's not like it will ruin the game to do so, but you may run out of some things far to fast. I have heard of some people house ruling it to four actions each summer instead of three, but I've never considered it.

Personally, the tightness has never bothered me and every game it seems I can do more with my actions than the game before. I love finding the best way to use free actions to get more done in a round.
