This expansion is 3-6 but Small World is 2-5 players. Why won't this expansion work with the same player count as Small World (mainly 2P)?

When starting a game with the Sky Islands, you combine the Sky Island board with the SW board corresponding to the number of players minus one. Since there is not a 1P board, you can only by the RAW play the 2P map + SI = 3P game. However, I was thinking of using one half of the 2P map + SI for a 2P version. (Sort of like the 2P version of SW + SWU with tunnels if you've ever done that)

You could always make a 1-player board using Realms tiles, and add the Sky islands board to it.

Also, there are 7 races & 7 powers in this expansion, so one could argue it's still a worthwhile acquisition.
