Just played a 4 player game where I collected 12 tickets worth a total of 137 points and my overall score was 219

My favorite 18xx game for six players is two games of 1846 with three players each.

Which variant from 1910? I'm assuming Mega Game (all of the tickets in the box).

Yes, that's the one.

Impressive! The only time I've gotten a score that high was in Team Asia.

Was really lucky, nobody got in my way and I didn't seem to be where everyone else needed to be.

Has anyone ever calculated the highest possible score? I've gotten 280 online in Mega, but there has to be a possible score way higher than that.

I scored about 240 in my first game of Pennsylvania (second place was 220 or so). Made me rethink my crafted lap counters, as it only goes to one lap (100-199), but at least the other side was blank.

There were some sort of calculations for highest possible score many years ago. Look in older threads and you might find it. I think somebody at least found that it was possible to end up far above 300 points in the original version (but I might be mistaken).

My wife runs the TTR tournament at WBC, with three options: base, Europe and 1910. She has records of thousands of plays. In general, the 1910 games have the highest scores.

OK. I think I calculated this correctly...

A continuous route from Calgary to Montreal through Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Fran, LA, Phoenix, El Paso, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Raleigh, Washington, New York and Boston...with add-ons of LA-Vegas, Atlanta-Nashville and Houston-Dallas.

- Ticket Points: 62
- Route Points: 331
- Longest Route: 10
- Most Tickets: 15
Total: 418 points

Is that it?

Biggest point tickets not covered by this are:
- LV-Miami (21)
- LA-Miami (20)
- Pittsburgh-Portland (19)
- San Fran-SSM (17)
- LA-Chicago (16)

Can anyone find a higher score?

I have the results for the 2017 tournament handy. There were 151 games played this year. There were 17 scores of 170 or more (an arbitrary threshhold I chose,) and all 17 came in the 1910 MegaGame version. (I don't have a breakdown of the 151 games by version, unfortunately.)

Here are the high scores:

209 (9/9 tickets for 115 VP, 69 track VP, 25 bonus (most tickets and long route))
200
197
195
188
185
184
182
182
182 (came in second to one of the other scores of 182)
179
179
177 (came in second to one of the 179 scores)
177
174
171
170

So your score is certainly noteworthy, in comparison with these scores.
