I would highly recommend their Civil War games (Stonewall's Sword and Thunder at Pea Ridge), they balance complexity, playability, and chaos just right and play exceedingly well face-to-face or solitaire.

Definitely my favorite Civil War system to date.

The next volume in the series, Longstreet attacks, is due out soon.

Mike plugging your own games is such bad form. You should have plugged mine. Washington's Crossing, Celles and Gazala, all at bargain prices.

Gentlemen! Please! These are all great games. You can't go wrong with any of them. As a matter of fact, I've just convinced myself to do some early Christmas shopping...for me, of course!

My favorite 18xx game for six players is two games of 1846 with three players each.

One of the things I really admire about Revolution is that they take personal responsibility for their games - the playtesting, development, and overall quality of their releases are just excellent.

Longstreet Attacks is my #1 want on the moment, can't wait!

If you travel for work Last Battle: Ie Shima, 1945 and Operation Battleaxe: Wavell vs. Rommel, 1941 are great games to bring with you. Easy to pack, small footprint, they fit on any hotel desk, and are playable in an evening!

Received Invasion 1066: Stamford Bridge today! Since it's about a single battle, it wasn't really on my radar, but at 15$ I had to try it.(For Ancients battles, I'm more used to GBoH format where you get many battles in a game) Plus, with the low price, it wasn't a target for customs fees!!!(5 out of 6 orders from Revolution got hit by customs fees. Never saw a ratio like that in my life. I paid the equivalent of 3 games to the Canadian gov in fees, yuk )

No games from that punk Michael Rinella in this order (Ok, I admit I already own Patton and Ie Shima. Only had the chance to play the later so far and it's a nail bitter!)

Huge thanks to Revolution Games for bringing those small footprint games to the market!

Hi Rory,

It may be cheaper to buy from our retailers/distributors in Europe such as Hexasim, Boutique Agorajeux, Brave New World, Second Chance Games, etc.

Thanks

Thanks Chris! The system does play well solo due to the chit-pull system. Enjoy!

You're welcome, sir. These are the first games I've purchased that you have been involved with, but I've heard good things! ๐Ÿ˜€ And those testimonies are what led to my purchases!

They're two great ACW games Chris, you should enjoy them a lot.

Now if we could just get Longstreet Attacks: The Second Day at Gettysburg in our hands... whistle
