Is Shadespire an expansion of gorechosen, or something like that ?

Can we use Gorechosen miniatures for Shadespire, or vice versa ?

It is simply the same game ?

They're completely different games.

There is no overlap in the mechanics of these 2 games.

Yep, they're very different, from the ground up. There are similarities - they're board games featuring Age of Sigmar miniatures; they're both played on a hex grid; they're designed to be played in a short period of time; the focus is on melee combat. But that's pretty much it.

Gorechosen is a quick and dirty pit-fighting game, designed to be played over a couple of drinks with some friends. It's intended as a bit of solid fun, maybe to start or end a night of gaming - there are tactics, sure, but the main design aim was to make a game that's quick to set up, fun to play, and acts as an ice breaker or palate cleanser.

Shadespire, on the other hand, is intended as a competitive game, with quite a focus on organised play. Before you even start playing, there's an element of deck design - this is something that I bet players will be agonising over, working to hone their decks and make them as effective as possible. The game itself is a lot more detailed than Gorechosen, with more variety in strategies and different ways to win than just "be the last one standing".

In other words, yeah, two very different games. Different enough that there's room for both on my shelf!
