I adapted this to play with groups of 30 students at my school (9 different classes of 15 year olds played this). They all loved it. I introduced a few changes (recorded income on a sheet rather than paper money, introduced 10% shares in companies they had to fork over if they couldn't afford to pay off debts, went for as many rounds as we could fit into two hours, and played in pairs or threes). A huge success. If anybody is interested, or wants the files, let me know.

He's looking real sharp in his 1940's fedora. He's got nerves of steel, an iron will, and several other metal-themed attributes. His fur is water tight and he's always up for a fight.

He's a semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action. He's a furry little flat-foot who'll never flinch from a fray. He's got more than just mad skills, he's got a beaver tail and a bill.

Nicely done! This game is definitely expandable with homemade tokens or even a new color with different dice/pricing combinations. Although whether that would be fun or not remains to be seen.

I'd like the files! DOn't know if I'd ever get a chance to play it but it'll be nice to have just in case.

Wow, that was a quick response!

I've uploaded the rules (which is more of a script for fellow teachers to help teach the game), the sheets for recording income, excel file with a macro for randomising price movements, a powerpoint for teaching it and shares to a google drive here:

If that doesn't work individual links are here:

If they don't work please let me know.

I rethemed it around Telecoms Companies and Infrastructure owners simply because that was the theme of the day with Year 10s. For the properties I used coloured card: 2 yellow, 2 blue, 2 green and 1 red per set. I drew lines making each sheet 10 properties, and wrote a x2 on one of the sheets. Then I stuck a small white sticker in the bottom right of each card. Finally I had them laminated and chopped- students just used mini whiteboard pens to record the price and to put their logo on them.

The rules pretty much followed Masters of Commerce, except I was looser around the timings, number of rounds and number of things being auctioned, and I gave hints as to what the highest and lowest value of each property was worth. Also there were shares- each company had 5 10% shares. They could sell these, but usually they were used to give to Infrastructure owners if they ran out of cash. These could be sold between companies, or cashed in for 10% of the companies worth during stage 2 of each round. At the end of the game, before final scoring, these had to be cashed in for 10% of the companies value. I used these because it seemed simpler than liens, and children need these 'extra lives' to keep them engaged if they crash out.
