We had a question about how to score for Diversity because it seems like the rules could be interpreted in two ways.

The main rule states:
"score a number of points for this ‘large plot’ equal to the current round number" [emphasis added]

This implied to me that for each color you score one large plot.

The example states:
"each large plot of a different colour is worth 1 point…" [emphasis added]

This implied to my son that every diverse plot scores points, even multiples of the same color.

Could the designers please adjudicate?

If the intent is to score one plot of each color, maybe you could change the example wording to: "one large plot of each different colour is worth…"

Thanks for the game - we're having fun with it!

Hi Chris,

Glad you're enjoying the game!

The intent is that you score the diversity bonus at most once for each colour, as long as you have a plot with at least 3 connected beds for that colour (no matter how many of these plots you have for the same colour).

We'll try to find a clearer wording, but I hope this makes sense for now!

That makes sense - thanks!

(And, that means I beat my son by a few points - woo hoo! That's getting harder and harder to do...)
