If I'm pedalling the Giro d'Italia, 2CDABC, Sprints DAB, where do the 3 sprints start and finish, and are they contiguous with one another? I couldn't quite decide how it works...
The sprints end at the "finish lines" located at the letter of the sprint currently being run.
So on the Giro d'Italia the first sprint is to "D" and is run from the start of the race to the finish line at "D". The first three racers over that line are awarded the appropriate bonus points and the first racer across is given the yellow jersey.
The second sprint is to the finish line at "A" and begins as soon as the racers have finished the first sprint. Award the yellow shirt and appropriate bonus points and begin the final sprint to the finish line at "B".
Note that the bonus points for the sprints vary based on which sprint is being run.
The race itself ends at the finish line located at "C".
Hope this helps.
