Is it good with 2 players?
Is game drastically different than with 3 or 4 players?
Is there enough interaction with 2 players?
Whats the average playing time with only 2 players?

Yup it's still solid with 2.
The 2 player rules give 2 markers per player per track (the turn order and engineering track). You can choose which to move up and down when taking dice.
These rules make those 2 tracks still fun with 2, further the tech tree has a few less spots to add tension there.
We play it in around an hour excluding setup.

Yes! to your first question.

The average playing time for us with two is between 60- 80 minutes depending on how well we planned our final two rounds.

The biggest difference can be found on the turn order track and with the techs. Turn order can be devastating, if you manage to get in the position that you start the draft and can go twice in a row. Well...that's your opponents worst nightmare, especially later in the game where the competition for the techs gets heavier.

Because of this: Technologies with one die icon can be patented by only one player during the gamelittle rule. The techtree can become quite competitive. Because locking your opponent out of a tech completely is a pretty big deal, because some of them are good for everybody.

Interaction wise...this is still a pointsalad game, you're not going to be stealing each others pulsars or blowing each others ships out of the sky. There is no "mean" interaction, it's just blocking people out of certain options.

Hope this helps,
