Hi,
Is there a particular reason for the board to be even-sided, as written it should by the official rules?

But why should it be otherwise?

Let's say one wants to play it on a 13x13 board (e.g. because they have such a board); is there a reason no to?

In some other games the size of the board is constrained to avoid draws or mirror play. I am wondering about the reason behind the restriction specified in X. Maybe it should be straightforward, but so far I can't see it.

Oh you mean even for the numbers of rows and columns.
I don't think there's any real difference with odd variants, at most it adds a center point?
This game already eliminate draw when it makes 0 win.
