Although stretch goal #5 is still well ahead of us (although at this pace it could be reached as early as by the end of the day!!!), I was wondering what is meant by:

"A new set of rules"

Will there be a fifth variant to play the game, .e.g. playing the Soviets against a German AI?

Hello Willem.

and thanks for your questions.

We are working on the German AI, will see how it works in the future weeks.

The "Designer's Way" is a new way to play the game, which includes more historical details, such as Soviet Mushrooms (the big, the little and the Mamayev Kurgan) and forified buildings (Red October Martin Furnace and the Grain Elevator), plus an additional set of rules which gives the Soviets an additional set of advantages which can be added by the Artificial Intelligence, such as "Soviet Divisions late deployment", "Full scale Amphibious Landings" and "Unlimited Replacements for the Red Guard" and more.

Sure with this new set of rules, you can play each of the four modules (the solitaire, the 2 versus AI, the 1v1 and the 2v1), but keeping in mind that the Soviet side will become stronger, and really hard to beat. So very good in solitaire after some experience, or versus a less experienced Soviet player.

Does it help?

OK, so basically this will be a set/ collection of optional rules that can be used or is it an entirely new "advanced" rule set?

Yeah, fortified buildings (Pavlov's House would be one too, I assume?)and granting some advantages to the side controlling Mamayev Kurgan certainly makes sense (better observation possibilities, so more accurate artillery strikes, for example).

Hopeful this stretch goal will be reached!
