Not sure if this has been asked but I have the original core sets & subsequent cycles already. Now that the core set has been revised, will future Data packs be compatible with what I already have or have there been any rule changes that make them incompatible?

No rule changes, but the cards are not designed to be played with anything that has formally rotated out, so some things may become unbalanced.

(Also, some of the core set cards that were considered too strong and are no longer in the revised core will return in a weaker form in the Kitara cycle -- these would then just be superfluous for you.)

If you own the original core and the Genesis and Spin cycles, you actually own the revised core as well -- it only has cards that were published in those.
So if you want to, you can play with the rotated card pool as well by taking out all cards that have rotated, i.e. anything in
- the original core
- Genesis cycle
- Spin cycle
which is NOT in the Revised Core set.

They will be compatible. All the cards in revised coreset are contained within original coreset and first two cycles. That said, there were some fine-tunings when it comes to deckbuilding - some cards were errata'ed, some are removed, some are restricted, there's rotation etc. In other words, some cards you already have are no longer valid for tournament deckbuilding. You need to check FAQ and NAPD list But no general rules change.

This is the most important point IMO. It's been announced that the upcoming cycle will effectively replace old Core Set staples such as Account Siphon and Medium, so playing these cards together with their replacements could lead to some crazily overpowered decks. In that sense they are not compatible.
