I have read that the cardboard for the new card display is very thin. A few people have complained and even said it won't lay flat and that it warps and causes cards to fall. Has anyone else seen that? From the videos I am expecting something equivalent to the castles of burgundy player boards. Is that about the thickness?

It's pretty thin. I haven't used it yet, but it didn't lay flat when I was setting it out to look at it. I imagine I'll have to weight both ends or slightly tuck it under the map when actually using it.

It's not really cardboard but a heavy card stock. No problems with keeping the cards on it.

It is pretty flimsy, but yes, it is at least decent cardstock. CoB player boards is about right. Maybe slightly better than Terraforming Mars ones?

It's flimsier than other Concordia boards, but comparable to The Castles of Burgundy player boards as noted. It will lay quite flat if given a gentle back-fold at the central crease.

The display is fine. Sure it's not cardboard, but it works.
