One session will be Fri 6PM and Sat 2PM.

We’ll be using V2.

Preparation for the game.

We'll be playing on a 5.5 foot diameter table. Imagine a 14x14 inch map in the middle of that.

So I've scaled it up a bit. It's now 36x36 inch map and it scaled up nicely. The 14x14 map is sitting on the big map.

I got three of them printed and only one printed close to the correct colors, two had a greenish tinge. Yeccho. For next time, I've added rgb and cmyk color boxes for the benefit of the printers.

And unfortunately, the one map printed that was closest got damaged in transit, so there's little krinkles in the map, but I've been able to flatten them out a bit.

And larger map goes better with my sandworms. To make it possible to spot things across the table, I've got also got forts, thopters and harvesters in 3D. I'll try and improve upon those, this afternoon.

Shai Hulud!

Good grief, I did and totally forgot to post them.

I'll do that later this evening. Thanks for the nudge!

Here's a few pics of the second game.

The first game was the second time there were 8 players and both times, the smugglers won.

I'm going to have to look more closely at that faction...

EPIC!!!

About the Smugglers, they've had a minor tweak in the v2.02 rules, they
can only (Rat Run) drop troops in one empty region now?

It could have been us not paying enough attention, but it only went to turn two. The young gentleman has a keen mind and excellent planning skills. I would not take him for granted should I find myself playing across from him, again.

We switched factions for the second Dundracon game, and that someone else got the smugglers.

I need to make new fortresses and finish the harvesters. The thopters are cool looking, but when you look up close, they're sloppy.

I'm going to see if I can get something together in Shapeways that would only require some painting.

The thopter wings are too thin for ed printing, so likely they'd be printed and cut like I did. But the fortress and the harvester might be do-able as one piece.

We used the worm as a current player token, btw.

I'm guessing you used the v2 rules ... where did
you get the new dice made?

If playing in large numbers, I would recommend
players printout their faction details from the
current rulebook so they have all the details
in front of them ... the faction cards only give
slight mention to abilities,

I got the dice from the V1 game I purchased. The faction dice are the same and I used stickers for the three non-faction dice to turn them into action dice. Of course, I wish they matched. If I could find enough people to buy my extras, as a group we could have them made - but it isn't cheap. Somewhere I have the quote on how much it would cost. I have 7 extra pair, btw.

That's a good idea about printing the faction info. I had a couple of copies of the rules going around, but you know how easy it is to find something there.

But most had fun and I'm glad we did it.

Btw, yes, there were two games but they were both on Friday. The first game was so short we had lots of extra time.

There would have been a third game on Saturday, but we woke up Saturday and I was not feeling well and we headed home.
