I was using a Plano-style box to store tokens and cards, but I recently decided to build a foamcore solution. My first attempt didn't work out as I'd hoped, but I took another crack at it and am fairly pleased so far. My goal was to allow for quick setup and long-term expansion.

All the cards and tokens are ready to go - just open and lift out the inner tray.

After completing the inside with felt and a paint pen, I decided I wanted to upgrade the outside as well. I printed a leather texture on label sheets and added some metal fixtures.

Closed Box

Opened

Ready to Play

Put together a quick foamcore for the minis as well, but I haven't cleaned up the outside yet.

Where did you find the outside box / chest from?

I didn't. It's built of foamcore too.
I just printed a leather texture on adhesive sheets, stuck them to the outside, and then attached the hardware.

Actually...
I need to make a couple of edits first, but I do have some plans.
(Got bored at work and planned this one out, then built it at home.)

My work is really slow this time of year and was hoping to put the down time to use and try and work on putting this together. Not dependent on your plans, but would be interested in seeing them. Curious about the saw tooth pattern on your back wall of your box.

I had another request for the plans as well and hope to get them posted today or tomorrow.
I actually created the plans first (while at work), but discovered a few mistakes during the build. I originally included the sawtooth pattern to provide an easy way to lift cards against the back of the compartment. However, I based them on using sleeved cards (in case I decide to sleeve later), so they are not quite as functional at the moment.
