Hey, if you could re-pick who they inlcuded in the core box from all the stretch goals from the kickstarter and the retail extra character packs, who would you drop and who would you include?

The Core box has some very strong heroes like Wisp, Seth and Spike. Personally I don't really mind unbalanced heroes. As long as it is compensated in another way. CMON should have appointed a certain value to all heroes and put a limit to the amount of points you can take.

That said, it would probably have been better to replace just those 3 with 3 weaker heroes. And add the very strong ones in later expansions.

The issue of balanced is also heavily depends on number of players. A powerful guild vs pitiful guild in 2 players is game over pretty much.

But in 4 player game? It slightly balances out that everyone are out to get you.

It also heavily depends on the campaign you're playing.

For example, Cassius is powerful in Inferno when there are plenty of lances and exotics but will be rather weak in the core campaign as there are barely any.

Spike is practically broken in the core game where there's nothing stopping him. But in Inferno he'll still take damnation from pitchers not to mention a lot of ways to inflict automatic wounds.

The pets campaign make it even worse with hornets that can disable his defense or Koalas that can push him out and slow him down.

Also it's tougher to get defense with less swords.

So it really depends on what you're going for.
