I have a fair few expansions showing up in my 'games owned' list, when really they should be in the 'expansions owned' list instead. Is there a way we can change the status of a listing to ensure it shows up in the correct list in future?

Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:

https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/30930/age-steam...
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/126839/dungeon-...
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/130704/mage-kni...
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/93701/thunderst...
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/161118/alien-fr...

I've checked the wiki edit pages for for these listings, and they are indeed all checked as 'expansions', yet somehow they still show up in the wrong list.

Any suggestions?

Everything is working as intended, even if it also somewhat bothers me. The top section of your collection summary (this is, under the "Board Game" blue bar) includes all items in your collection and not only stand-alone board games as suggested. The bottom part (Board Game Expansion blue bar) takes all expansions from the previous mix and lists them apart.

While reviewing your collection, you can use the filters tab to (temporarily) remove all expansions from sight, but they'll appear again every time you come back. You'll just learn to live with it.

Ah yes, I see that now, you need to enter the list and click to filter out expansions.

It's a bit weird that it works like that — it makes my list look awful tbh and means I cannot see how many games I have at a glance (excluding expansions). Why do expansions get their own dedicated section and count on your main profile page but standalone games do not? Unless I'm missing something then that's just odd.

Do you know if this is a common complaint? Any chance of getting it sorted?

Thanks for the quick reply, brother.

What I've done is filtered out expansions, then clicked on Permalink to update the URL, then add it to the quickbar at the top of the page. It means I can access the collection in one click.

Good point. In case that anyone is wondering, the URL is https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/DarkVaati?own=1&su..., replacing my username with the corresponding one.

Thanks, Gary, I've done that now. In ten years on this site I'd never even noticed that quickbar until you've just mentioned it lol.
