Comedic in tone perhaps, but an honest assessment of the questions asked of Ivanka, during a sit-down interview at Fox. An opportunity to ask the hard hitting questions, but it's apparent there were no hard hitting questions asked.

Yearns for days gone by, when reporters actually asked meaningful questions, regardless of whether they put the person on the spot.

It's one reason why I respect CNN more than Fox, and it has nothing to do with the fact that they obviously have a left lean, it's simply that they do not seem to be afraid to occasionally ask some difficult questions.

They (and MSNBC) were ineffectual during the election. They frequently asked question "A" and then did nothing while Conway, Lord, etc. blatantly lied or did a "but, hillary". They also were very hesitant to say the president was lying when he was verifiably lying.

After the election, they've finally become tougher. Conway's appearances were restricted. Anchors were increasingly confrontational, calling out lies in real time, stopping filibusters, refocusing on the question, pointing out that Clinton wasn't president, and so on.

(Lord was fired for an off comment about nazi's but that didn't really relate to the media becoming tougher on him).
