According to the rules:

Quote:
Players take turns to pull Ingredients from
the Ingredients bag and secretly make what
they believe are the Secret Recipes of their
opponents. Players may choose not to guess if
they are not confident.

What exactly is a turn in this sense? Is it...

1) Player 1 makes all guesses, player 2 makes all guesses, etc.

2) Player 1 makes 1 guess, player 2 makes 1 guess, going around until no one can/wishes to guess. (Follow-up question: If so, can players pass and then come back in if they realize they need a hail mary guess?)

Follow up: Does turn order get re-assigned before the final bake off? (Since there's no crazy final scoring twist at the end, players will know the scores, which makes the turn order for this VERY important. If option #1 is used, the player that goes last knows exactly where the winning score is, and thus knows exactly what a -2 penalty entails.)

#1 is correct. As for the follow up, yes, if a new starting player was assigned in the final round, that sets the turn order for the final bake off, if not, rotate starting player as normal before the final bake off. This does mean the player guessing last does have the most information regarding final scoring, so if it looks like it will be close, choosing the player to your left to be starting player for the final bake off might be worth a worker.

Let me know if you have any other questions and have fun!

Try this:
For each recipe to guess, all players hide their guess (or non-guess). All players then reveal their guess (or non-guess) simultaneously, and the owner of the recipe reveals the truth once all guesses are exposed.

This method provided some great drama today. We had 1 point of separation between the top two players with one recipe left to guess. Both players slammed down ingredients on the table: red/green/strawberry & red/green/pumpkin. The baker pointed at the leader and said, "2 points." He pointed at the 2nd place player and said, "4 points." It was fantastic, and not just because I won!
