Anyone here has any experience with this pistol? I've seen a couple of reviews of this and it looks like it might be the right fit for my wife for a Christmas present, specifically the RX version

Any thoughts? I personally love the fact it has an interchangeable lower receiver that can accommodate any hand size.

Nope. I really like my CZ-75, though.

Can't be much help. There is a Gun Guild here but it isn't as active as it once was. I suspect because several members quit BGG over other issues. In the past, I've owned several Glocks in 9mm and really appreciated their reliability. However, as I've aged and lost some arm strength, I've migrated away from semiautos to revolvers.

Isn't the P320 the new choice of the military?

Yes the Military chose this over the Glock and retiring the Beretta.

No they don't and only an if the worst thing that can happen is shooting an eye out, consider yourself lucky as in proper handling of a fire arm can result to death.
