Turn 1 of the full campaign. The Spartan factions are both Phormio controlled. The Aristophanes card is Will of Assembly calls for both Athens and Sparta to control Isthmuth of Corinth. The Euryponids select WoA as their PS from the Strategy matrix, meaning Corinth. The Agiad get Protect Key Allies. The first priority theater is of course Corinth. But I'm wondering if Corinth is already covered by the Eury faction. So which is correct?:

1. Corinth is NOT considered covered already, so Agiad also takes Corinth as its theater.

2. Corinth IS covered already, so Agiad's theater is Boetia.

3. It's ambiguous, so a random die roll selects between Corinth and Boetia.

My instinct says 1, reasoning that Phormio only cares about the board as it currently sits, not on what the other faction is potentially doing.

Thanks.

Spartan Phormio is going all in on Corinth, assuming a die roll of 1-5.

However, your opponent is unlikely to object if you deviate.

This occasionally happens with two Athenian Phormios on the Athens matrix, when the Will of the Assembly's objective is Sicily (several Aristophanes cards do this, so it's not uncommon) and the second faction's PS is Granary......which is historically quite satisfying as the first and second waves of the Sicilian Expedition.

This all out Athenian commitment is a real challenge to a Spartan solo player in the Second Peloponnesian War scenario, where Sparta has a small controlling presence in Sicily but no realistic prospect of reinforcing it from other theatres and almost certainly no help from his Phormio colleague. There is the option of giving it up for lost but it's not impossible to hold out there, invariably by the narrowest of margins (the Gylippus factor ).
